Mardi Himal Trek
The Mardi Himal Trek is a short and less-traveled trekking route in the Annapurna region, offering spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Mardi Himal itself.Starting from Pokhara, the trail passes through charming villages, rhododendron and oak forests, and alpine meadows before reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m). The trek is famous for its close-up panoramic views of Machhapuchhre, which feels almost within arm’s reach.Unlike the busier Annapurna Base Camp or Poon Hill routes, the Mardi Himal Trek is quieter and less commercialized, providing a more peaceful and off-the-beaten-path experience. The trek usually takes 5–7 days, making it a great option for trekkers who want a short adventure with authentic Himalayan scenery and culture.
